OUR CORE VALUES

Artboard-1

God’s vision is multi-generational and multi-culturally diversified. Honor our elders. Respect our differences. Raise up and inspire the next generation.

Artboard-2

Don’t be a silo unto yourself or a group of 4 and no more. Be a community of believers that loves God, loves peoples and serves faithfully together.

Artboard-3

Give God everything and withhold nothing from Him. Do everything on purpose and intentionally striving for excellence glorying His name.

Artboard-4

We love because He first loved us. We forgive because He forgave us.

CORE BELIEFS

Our beliefs describe how we view God, Jesus, the Bible, man, and many significant aspects of our faith. Firmly rooted in Scripture, these beliefs guide our decisions as a church.

About God

God is called by many different names because of the different dimensions of His personality, but God is one. God is super-dimensional and eternally self-existent. God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. God is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible While God is one, He has revealed Himself in three persons: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the second person of the Trinity, the eternal Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. The Scripture declares His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His death on the cross; His bodily resurrection from the dead; His power over sin and death; His ascension to Heaven’s glory. His promise to return again someday to Earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and make all things right.

Despite the countless sinful choices that we humans have made, God refused to give up on us. Instead, out of a love we don’t deserve, God sent his only Son, Jesus, in order to bring God and His people back together.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. Baptism in the Holy Spirit was given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the Church to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth.

About the Bible

The Bible is God’s Word to us and is applicable to our everyday lives. It is inspired by God; it is the truth without error. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible is infallible and the authoritative rule of faith and conduct for mankind

About Humankind

At the beginning of the human story, God created male and female to be like him and to be with him. These treasured creations would imitate God’s love in the way they loved God, loved each other, and lovingly cared for the world around them. However, by a voluntary act of the will, Adam and Eve disobeyed God. That first sin had several repercussions. Man was removed from the garden of Eden, a curse was pronounced, the process of physical death began, and man died spiritually. Sin separated humankind from God and left man in a fallen or sinful condition.

About Salvation

Because He loves you, Jesus chose the harder path and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins. He offers each of us a pardon for our sins and wants us to become children of God.

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When anyone humbly comes to Jesus, follows him as Lord, and trusts him as Savior, they are “saved” (rescued from the danger of not being with God). Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

When we put our faith in Christ, it triggers a spiritual chain reaction. We become the Temple of the Holy Spirit. Our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We become citizens of heaven. We are given eternal life. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. We are adopted and become children of God. Our sins are forgiven and forgotten. We are credited with the righteousness of Christ. We are born-again. God takes ownership of us. We receive an eternal inheritance. We become a new creation and are transformed into the image of Christ.

About the Church

We believe that the true Christian Church is not a building, but rather all the people who trust in Jesus Christ. The church exists to glorify God and to love people so that those who are far from God will become fully alive in Christ.

About Eternal Security

Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose” it. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.

About Eternity

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.

About Christ's Return

One day, Jesus will return to fix everything that sin has broken. He will come to judge everyone and everything that stands in opposition to God and to transform his people and this universe into what God originally intended it to be—a place filled with God, his children, and limitless love. Until that Day comes, we will strive to help people plant their spiritual roots in the love of God, trusting that God himself will change us into people who look more and more like his Son, Jesus.
